Buenos aires to uruguay

Hola!
After the most terrifying ferry ride of my life(it can only be described as being on a rollercoaster for 2 hours... People were barfing and stuff was flying all over the place) and 2 bus rides we have arrived in Punta Del Diablo, Uruguay. The town is a really cute surf town, i love it already! It's great to be out of the city! Right now i'm lying in a hammock on the porch watching the sun rise over the ocean. We arrived around 5:30 and walked through town to find a hostel that was open... Can't check in until 2 but hoping to vrab some sleep on the hammock soon! The last few days in buenos aires we walked around the city with this guy who knew lots about the history etc. We went to a market in San telmo and watched some tango dancers and also to the cemetery where evanperon is buried. The cemetery was pretty cool.. It's amazing how huge those graves are! and bought myself a painting. The hostel bar in buenos aires sells wine for 18 pesos (a bottle) which is about 4.50... Whoop! So of course we went there a few nights just going to have a glass but ended up drinking a bottle or two.. Because why wouldn't you?? Anyways it's getting to be almost 24 hrs since I've slept so I think I'm going to grab a nap!

Buenos Aires

Hola!
After way too many hours on Planes and in airports I made it! When I arrived in Buenos Aires I went straight to my friend Kelsey's place. She lives in Palermo Hollywood, which has some trendy restaurants and lots of clubs. We went for Sushi and paid Canadian prices, but it was really good! The next day Sarah arrived and we went on an adventure to find Starbucks to meet Kelsey. it didn't take too long to walk, but when we reached the street we turned the wrong direction, and asked some lady who had never heard of starbucks and tried to direct us to a bank (that kind of sounded like starbucks.) I told her it was a coffee shop called Starbucks and she suggested many other local coffee shops, which Kelsey would not be waiting for us at! Eventually we decided to turn around and discovered that Starbucks was about 2 blocks away from the street we originally started on... of course!
Then we decided to go on an adventure to Chinatown, (which we also walked right by). China town in Buenos Aires pretty much looks like every other china town... complete with red gates and crazy little shops that sell everything. We went to the grocery store and found some whole octopuses and manta-rays, and also really cheap quinoa and dried fruit (and real peanut butter.. which they don't seem to have anywhere else.) We also found some really cheap sushi!
Then we decided to check out a place that had a sign saying 'productos de soja' (soy products). It was behind some green garage doors that were barely open, and we figured that they either had soy milk or were selling drugs... turns out it was soymilk.
We went to a latino dance class at a fitness club with Kelsey and her roommates, who are European. The white section of the class failed pretty badly at the dance moves but the teacher cheered us on and we had lots of fun! The teacher was this very excited man who kissed everyone on the way in the door and probably had more fun n the class than anyone else. I think we got a high speed version of every kind of latin dancing that exists, and I can't say that I did well at any of them! Before we could get the basic foot movements the instructor would yell 'brazos' (arms) or some other direction that involved more complicated things... no wonder all latin americans are such good dancers!
Today we bought tickets to a River game on Sunday, we're going with some local River fans so it should be a blast. We also picked up some wine at the grocery store which was DELICIOUS and only cost 11 pesos (less than $3).
We are heading out for dinner and dancing tonight!
